Mobile Home
A mobile (or “manufactured”) home needs insurance like any other home. Your mobile home insurance policy offers coverage for the actual structure and can also help protect your personal property within.
It provides for repair or replacement caused by:
- Fire – including damage from smoke and water used to put out a fire
- Weather – lightning, windstorms, hailstorms, tornadoes
- Equipment failure – damage from bursting of heating, plumbing or hot water systems
- Electrical surge damage
- Explosions
- Glass breakage
- Falling trees and objects
- Collapse of roof or walls
- Damage by vehicles
- Theft or burglary
- Vandalism and malicious mischief
Your mobile home policy does not cover your home while it’s being transported. If you decide to move your home, contact us to purchase the necessary protection.
Structure Coverage Options
- Actual or Replacement Cost – If your home is 10 years old or less, talk with your us about the different coverage options you may want to consider. Replacement Coverage usually allows you to receive the full purchase price of the lost items at the time of loss.
- Trip Collision – Insures your home as it is being transported from the factory to your site
There are often discounts available from insurance providers which we can explore on your behalf. Some of these include:
- Original Owner – Save a percent for each year for the first five years of ownership.
- Multi-Line (Home + Auto) – Save by bundling your insurance buy
- Protective Devices – Save with installed protective devices, such as burglar or fire alarms
- 55 or older and retired – Save when you achieve a significant milestone.
